Just done some illustrations for some kids books coming out next year. I think I am allowed to say they are full of Demons and Zombies and stuff like that. Anyone seen that shed before?

Exhibition photos

Like a fool I forgot to take my camera on the opening night, but here is a photo of the gallery and my prints from a couple of days later. I'm pretty chuffed that 2 of my small paintings sold and Aco has sold 3 of the plush toys with orders for more.
You can also read a review of the opening night HERE.
When I find the cable for my camera I'll upload some better photos.

Oh, and the exhibition is still on until next Thursday, the 27th Nov.

Inky Goodness!

Here are a few more tasters of what I'm showing at the Inky Goodness show and some very special toys made by my lovely wife. She stayed up until 6am making these liddle beauties! I went to bed early cos i was tired....

Anyway, the show is on from this saturday (15th November) for 2 weeks. There are loads of great illustrations, paintings and prints by some of Bristol's finest.

Wonky Rats

As well as panicking about this weeks exhibition, I've also been working on some illustrations for Puffin and these Rats for a top secret Wonky project for the BBC.

Only 1 week until the Inky Goodness Exhibition in Bristol... and I've got my 3rd print of the series finished. Its at the Centre Space gallery in the centre of brizzle and should be a really good show. There will be loads of good art to buy (as well as my shite)

Sneaky Peeky

Here's a sneaky peek at a couple of the screenprints I'll be showing at the InkyGoodness Exhibition
Its taken me a bit longer than I expected and I have really missed Control Z on a few occassions, but it was nice to get my hands dirty again. Thanks to Alice and everyone at SNAP
for all their help and tea.

It moves!

With a little help from Joe I've managed to upload the Disco Shed clip to Youtube. I know it shouldn't be that difficult, but technology is NOT my friend...

Hopes and Fears

In November I am going to be part of the Inky Goodness exhibition in Bristol. The theme is Hopes and Fears... and, well, I'm very scared. There are some really wicked illustrators taking part. And I haven't done anything yet. Here's a couple of testies that I might turn into screen prints.

cadburys creme eggs

some characters I drew holding creme eggs for Wonky. Not heard back from Mr Cadbury yet....

Just been looking through some old sketchbooks and found this little beauty. I'd completely forgotten about the BeeGee ouijee board that I never got round to doing at Uni. Holy moly that was almost 10 years ago! But the BeeGees still give me the heebie-geebies...

Badger bongo

A little taster of some stuff I'm doing for Aidan and Paddy at the Disco Shed. They've already played at the Big Chill this year and are going to be at Beachdown and Festinho soon. I'll post up the amazing animated clips soon.... or when I've finished them.

Eating out can be quite a daunting experience for Pandas.

freak of the week

Not drawn many freaks lately... although I've seen plenty down Asda. They all seem so depressing though. Not like this wee fella! On his way from Aberdeen to Plymouth by train and drinking cider like it was some kind of fizzy alcoholic apple juice whilst listening to bagpipe music on his headphones. Its true! My favourite was the bagpipe version of Everything I Do by Bryan Adams...

FIGHT!

Here are some of the other characters for the Butter Factory flyers. My favourite is the Telly-Thuggy...

Karate!

Somehow I got asked to draw some characters for flyers to promote a Nu-Rave night at Singapore's coolest club, The Butter Factory. Not quite sure why they picked me... my reputation as miserable old git obviously hasn't gotten to the Far East yet.
I'm glad they did, though. Its one of the funnest projects I've ever had. Here's a couple of characters. I'll be posting more soon.

Sheesh!

The last 6 weeks have been non-stop. Work, work, work. Now I know what people with REAL jobs feel like. Eeewww. Dirty.

At last I can sit back and relax and imagine what people on the telly might do if they had to work for a living... Richard and Jooby run the Throbbing Cock on Freek Street. Rich likes thursdays best cos its Karaoke Nite. Jooby's finished off the gin again and couldn't care less...

Just finished a nice little job drawing the Kings and Queens of Europe. Seems like all Royal families are inbred, fugly dimwits... not just ours. So that's nice to know.

Recent Book Cover

Here's a book cover I recently drew for Puffin Books... Jeremy Strong is a great author and really funny, so if you're about 13-14 go and buy it when it comes out!

Feeling Peckish?

then why not take a stroll down to Bob's Fried Chicken Emporium.... Chicken has never tasted like this.

Welcome to Spabbyland

As its taken me 5 years to not sort out my website, I've decided that for now I will post some of my illustrations and characters here while I fiddle around with my long-overdue homepage.
